Skylark: Haikubox Pro for Remote Sites

Designed for wildlife professionals working in off-grid locations, the Skylark is the passive acoustic monitoring device providing real-time bird and bat species identification.

Birds sing, bats echolocate, and your Skylark is ready to record, identify and share them with you, 24/7!

The Skylark uses its on-board and cloud-based Haikubox neural nets and shares what it learns with you through the Haikubox mobile app, available in the Google Play and Apple App stores.

The Skylark is your new low-cost animal identifier, with these built-in features:

• Full-spectrum audio: Continuous or triggered recording (you set the schedule) of bats and birds up to 192 kHz. Recorded as 16-bit/32-bit wav/flac files, 8kHz to 384kHZ.
• Real-time species detections and identifications: After connecting the Skylark to the internet via wifi or cell, you can see which species are being heard in real time, with optional notifications for interesting species.
• GPS location: The integrated GPS module allows the Skylark to automatically set the internal clock for accurate location and date/time stamping.
• SD card: Each device includes an SD card holder so you can store raw audio and backup detections in the case wifi signal is lost.
• Ready for your custom AI: Each Skylark is capable of running a unique neural net you create with your acoustic data! Haven't yet developed your net? Ask about our new tool to help you get started!
• D-cell or solar/rechargeable lithium-ion battery powered: Choose the power option that will work best for your location.
• Optional Iridium satellite connection: Add satellite communication when using the Skylark with lithium-ion battery to receive status updates anywhere in the world. Note that Iridium plan is also required.
• Optional cell link: Add a cellular gateway for cell connectivity when using the Skylark with lithium-ion battery. Note that SIM and cell service is also required. Purchase cell link separately.

The Skylark was thoughtfully designed and is field-ready for long-term deployments in harsh weather conditions:

• Rugged: Weather-sealed, with field-serviceable parts.
• Unbranded: No logos or labels are on the enclosure so you can add your own, or not.
• Easy setup: Deployment settings are controlled on the device.
• Solar: The optional solar panel allows unlimited audio collection and transmission by charging a  lithium-ion battery.
