When is the right time to take down a hummingbird feeder? The Spruce wanted input from a biologist about the possible impact of feeders on hummingbird migration, and the Haikubox founder, David Mann, was happy to share.  

David noted, "Migration is triggered by changes in day length. As summer wanes and days grow shorter, migrating birds get restless and eventually begin their journey."
