Inventors Digest

A reporter with Inventor Digest interviewed Haikubox founder David Mann and their conversation is reported in the July 2024 issue of the magazine.

The article reviews the process that the Haikubox team used to design the product, the bumps and challenges faced (and overcome!) along the way, and the big picture goals for the Haikubox network.

The reporter notes, "Though he is excited to drive more sales, the project was always bigger than profit. 'A lot of it is mission driven. We want to get these out to as many places as possible so that the data is there and that people can see what's going on,' Mann said."

The Haikubox mission remains the same today as when it was first conceived:

Fulfilling our responsibility to positively impact the environment, one backyard at a time.

Our mission is to improve environmental literacy and promote conservation and stewardship by helping people learn and care about the natural world.

The Haikubox team is excited to see what can be learned from the bioacoustical dataset that grows bigger every day.
