When Anders Gyllenhaal reviewed a very early version of Haikubox (he was beta tester #2) he said “The most interesting development on the science front is a new device, called the Haikubox, coming out later this year. You’ll set it up in your yard, or porch, and it will identify every birdsong within reach of the recorder. Then it will send a stream of IDs to your computer or phone, providing a comprehensive census of nearby bird life.” Well, it took a bit longer than one year to create an attractive, durable and more accurate product… but we are glad we waited the extra time which we used to test, test and test Haikubox.
