The blue dot is where we sheltered during Hurricane Milton and experienced both sides of the eyewall and the eye itself. Thankfully, our team is fine, our office suffered no lasting damage, and our community is slowly recovering.
What about the birds? We spotted a pair of Palm Warblers this morning! This is a relief since our Haikubox data show that they start arriving in mid-October. We hope other birds that were delayed due to Helene and/or Milton will arrive soon. We also are glad that resident Blue Jays, Crows, Osprey, Cardinals and Woodpeckers also have been spotted and heard.
